I bought this printer very recently after buying a Canon Pixma printer in a sale last year then found it wasn't compatible with Vista. I am not a whizz kid with a computer these days but did manage to set up the printer and wireless connection to it without hassle or professional help. The quality of the print is clear and crisp and the photos are wonderful. I have already looked into the prices of the photo paper and ink cartridges, but after sourcing them here on Amazon, I won't be bothering with places like PC world! I recommend this printer very highly.

The HP B209a Photosmart Plus prints and scans well and was very easy to set-up and the wireless connection is a real bonus. The only negative comments I have are that it does clonk and clunk a lot and generaly sound poor, and it did not tell me the ink cartidges needed changing when they were clearly nearly empty and the print quality deteriated (not enough ink left to do a head clean), however, after a quick cartidge change, (catridge change is particularly easy), the quality of the printing returned to a very good standard.

The printer is great, however compared to my old HP PSC1200 series all in one, this is significantly bigger!! I was expecting something around the same size. The paper tray not being able to fold away or even be removed is annoying. The one thing I can not fault is the touch screen display, it is great!! Obviously single buttons are self explanitry on the PSC1200 but the touch screen is just as simple, just its away with 1 touch copying, and now about 2-3touchs copying but for now its a joy to use the touch screen. Printing works flawlessly through WIFI. (I have 4 notebooks in network and other mobile devices) However scanning, you are REQUIRED to have HP software installed (I wanted to install whole set up without cram down HP rubbish) and even with software installed, it does nto always work flawlessly, you have to open the software which is loads up minimised on the system tray on ur computer just so the scan to computer recognises a computer is present. The best bit I discovered, I had a spare 99p mini bluetooth dongle (the really small cheap ones) and I put it into the pict bridge USB port on the printer and presto, my printer now has bluetooth connectivity so do not feel like you need the chunky HP ones, this small discreet one works a treat!!bad points:Printer can be little noisey but so was the old 1, Printer is quite big the psc1200 was very compact, software issues meaning technology stil is not flawlessgd points: print quality is good, wifi printing works flawlessly, touch screen is great, ink prices are fairly good.
